Micah Castelo

Micah Castelo is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Rooted. Her interest in modern homesteading comes from her agriculture reporting experience and personal desire to live more sustainably. She's a master's student and Newhouse fellow in the Magazine, Newspaper and Online Journalism program at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She is also a contributing writer for the Syracuse Post-Standard and a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting fellow. In her free time, Micah enjoys trying new recipes, catching up on sleep, or playing with her pets.
